SpinCo Together aims to positively impact individuals experiencing mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders and intellectual and developmental disabilities through movement arts and interactive performance. Movement arts and interactive performance will create educational experiences, opportunities for socialization, and promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
SpinCo Together will work with adults and children who participate in established non-profit organizations located throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

Looking for Teachers & Volunteers!
SpinCo Together is looking for teachers and volunteers experienced in hula hoop, poi, juggling, fans, nunchucks and dance for programs to take place this Fall 2017. See below on how to apply! If you have a class idea please email lauren.spincoalition@gmail.com
Become a Teacher!
Teacher Description
- Bachelor’s degree, or experience equivalent of 2 years in social work, special education, rehabilitation or therapeutic health, nursing or any behavioral science field
- Practice movement arts for at least 1 year with a solid understanding of the foundations for a specific track (movement art)
- Experience in teaching movement arts is preferred
- De-escalation skills are a plus
Time Requirement
- Up to 3 hrs /mo in addition to time teaching, during month of the scheduled event
- Total time will vary based on event
Responsibilities
- Create curriculum and submit to Program Manager at least 2 weeks prior to event
- Brief Performance during event to showcase movement art
- Create a safe and fun learning environment to engage participants of various ability groups and learning styles
- Debriefing with Program Manager and other related program personnel

Applicants may be asked to prepare and submit a lesson plan that they feel is appropriate to teach the following audience:
- Children & adults (varies with each program)
- Limitations in self expression
- Challenges with verbal and nonverbal communication
- Challenges with social skills
Become a Volunteer!
Volunteer Description

We are accepting instructor applications for workshops; seeking hoop, poi, staff, fan, fire spinners, and all other flow artists to teach students in the Greater Philadelphia area.
