Unwind and restore your body with this yoga workshop specifically designed for female performers, dancers, movers & shakers.
Purna Shakti is back again to share with us the training she has completed in India from several yogis. She is joined by Lindsay Gallagher to help you unwind and rejuvenate your body. Students will learn techniques from yoga, and other traditions to open our subtle channels, breathing, and muscles. After preliminary opening, cleansing, and healing we will move on to specific movements, exercises, mudras and meditations to benefit not only our yoga practices, but also our dance practice.
This Mother's Day, we may not all have living mothers to honor, but our support system is strong. Whether it's your birth mother, guardian, a close friend, or partner, this workshop will explore your connection through increased circulation to special areas of the female body and preventative, holistic, and emotional health.
Location
Held at a safe indoor studio learning space with mirrors and hardwood flooring. Bring your own mat, SpinCo will have a few to spare. Students should wear comfy and loose cotton clothing (shorts and short sleeves recommended).
Handmade Artistry
Purna Shakti will have traditional handmade jewelry for sale on-site, as well as a limited supply of fire props, including fans and palm candles.

Lindsay Gallagher, MA
Lindsay began practicing yoga approximately eight years ago, in the midst of her own healing journey. She was astounded by the manner in which yoga transformed her body, mind, and spirit. Lindsay believes that to truly help heal others, you must first learn to heal yourself. Thus, she continues to heal her own wounds, while empowering others to do the same.
Lindsay received her Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Psychology, and would later earn her Masters Degree in Community and Trauma Counseling. Through her academic studies, she learned that trauma is stored not only in the mind, but in the body as well. Lindsay then received her 200 hour-Yoga Teacher Training Certification, in order to combine both Yoga and Psychology into her own practice. Lindsay recently began to study the healing properties of essential oil and enjoys incorporating them into her yoga classes as well as therapy sessions. Lindsay strives to break free from the “one size fits all” yoga mold, and introduce yoga to people of all body types, ages, genders, and races.
