SpinCo Community Flow Jam

This is a casual skill share and open gym for flow artists of all ages and backgrounds. Please be prepared to sign a waiver upon entry.

Bring your props, clothes comfortable to flow in, and water. Free to attend but as always feel free to drop us a donation via venmo @spinco or PayPal. If you wish to practice aerial arts at Alterra, that is available as well! We strongly suggest donating to Alterra if you use their aerial equipment.

What to Bring

• Wear clothes you are comfortable in spinning in! Gym clothes, street clothes, and costume clothes are all fine! If you have long hair, we suggest hair ties. If you would like to try aerial arts, please wear tighter leggings or joggers and a shirt that can be tucked in.
  • Note that the venue has hard flooring, so you may want footwear that can help you move with ease
• You are welcome to bring tripods and camera equipment for photo/video. We sometimes will take a group photo!
  • Please ask for consent if you are posting photos or videos of others, and whenever possible, tag us @spincoalition!
• Feel free to bring snacks and stay hydrated by BYO water bottle, so we save on plastic waste!

How to Get Here

Alterra is located at 4700 Wissahickon Ave, in the office complex between W Abbottsford Ave and Roberts Ave. You can search “Alterra Productions” or “The Cube” in your map application and it will take you right there!

• There is a parking lot on site, enter via the entrance off Roberts Ave as the other entrance can sometimes be closed
• Look for the Merakey and Cradles to Crayons signs, and head in the double glass doors.
• The studio is located on the second floor, down the hallway.

What to Expect at our Events

SpinCo promotes a friendly atmosphere - we invite all movement arts enthusiasts, whether you are new to the art or a seasoned professional! We encourage skill sharing and networking. Our team of volunteers are here to make everyone feel welcome.

We ask that participants treat everyone with respect, and be kind! SpinCo has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to harassment, abuse, or assault of any kind, fraud or theft, and the possession, use, or exchange of violent weapons. Our events are drug free.
