WORKSHOP DETAILS
The Rope Dart Workshop at SpinCo will be divided into 3 parts: Spins, Shots and Wraps
Rope Dart 101-Spins
This class will focus on terminology, training principles and fundamental Rope Dart skills. Movement areas explored include wheel and wall plane, footwork within planes, using various parts of the body to spin the Rope Dart and direction changes. Emphases is on control and proper handling
Rope Dart 102-Shots
This class will continue from the previous class. Students will be introduced to shots and encouraged to combine spins with shots. Students will learn how to shoot the dart using multiple body parts. Emphases will be on control and accuracy
Rope Dart 103-Wraps
This class will continue from both previous classes. Students will be introduced to Body Wraps, which are a series of false/empty knots around the body. Students will be encouraged to combine spins and shots into their wraps resulting in full Rope Dart technique.
