Workshop FAQs
Who is this workshop designed for?
This class is the perfect launching point for a performance duet. For those who have already delved into the world of partner, students should expect to gain a deeper understanding of technical variations in context of spatial clearance (so you don't bonk your partner in the head with your poi).
Do I need to sign up with a partner?
Nope! At time of workshop, instructors will assign students to each other who are about the same height and similar skill level.
What will the class focus on?
Students will learn basic concepts in partner poi, starting with two poi drills and building into four poi partner poi.
What tricks will students learn?
Students will learn the basics of the 3bt weave, Brigzag and other core partner poi concepts in a safe environment. Through the simple techniques learned in this class, more complex choreography can be built.
