Intro to Juggling

This March Spinco is excited to announce a one day Juggling workshop for anyone who has been considering learning the art of juggling! Allison Watman of The Give and Take Jugglers will be teaching the FUNdamentals of juggling such as the basic cascade pattern, reverse cascade, under throws, columns and many more skills! Aren’t sure what some of those things are? Come out and learn on March 5th at Funicular Station in Germantown!

The Street Circus Guest Workshops Series is a performance education program with seasons that run annually September through April. Workshops are held among 14 partnering venues in Greater Philadelphia. Learn how easy it is to have fun with a prop and discover all the health benefits that come with it.

About Your Instructor 

Allison learned to juggle at a young age, then progressed to baton twirling, fire spinning, and aerial arts. After getting her Masters Degree in Elementary Education and Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University in Boston, she decided to inspire children not from the front of a classroom, but from the stage. She joined the Give & Take Jugglers in 2011 and performs a two person show across the east coast with her husband, Eric, a former Ringling Bros clown. Allison and Eric also work for the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts in teaching, performing, and administrative roles.

About the Studio

When to arrive?

Please arrive 5 minutes before class time in order to get acquainted with the space and ready for class to begin on time.

How to get there?

The Funicular station is located in Germantown, and is easily accessible by public transportation.  If you decide to drive, please do not park in the private area! Street parking is available, and free.

What to bring?

Bring a water bottle and your props. The jugglers will have a variety of different props for you to try during class.
