About Your Instructor
Tippy has been performing and teaching flow arts since 2010, when she was gifted her first homemade hula hoop from her best friend. Since then, she has celebrated her passion for fire and flow arts all over the world, including but not limited to: Burning Man in Nevada, the Flow Show in New York City, Ozora in Hungary, Psy-Fi in Holland, and Afrikaburn in South Africa. While the hula hoop will always be her first love, her style and interests have grown substantially with the incorporation of contact staff, double staff, and fire fans. She loves to seamlessly integrate a soulful dance style with intricate tech—especially box tech. When she’s not hurling props wildly around her body, she is a teacher, a writer, and a world-traveler. To follow her fantastical adventures abroad and at home, you can find her on Instagram at @to_be_tippy To Be Tippy or on her Facebook page, To Be Tippy.
